Erins Own secretary launches funds plea

ERIN’S OWN Hurling and Football Club are hoping for a big response to their major fundraiser at Curraheen Park on Wednesday, May 4, an event organised to help reduce the debt on the revamped facilities at Caherlag.

“Many local business firms and individuals have already responded with their customary generosity and we are eternally grateful for their massive support over the years”, says club secretary Martin Bowen.

“However, the burden needs to be shared, and, bar some notable exceptions, it staggers me why some of the multi nationals and thriving firms operating in the Glounthaune parish make little or no contribution.
