Oasis can complete treble dream

OASIS DREAM can confirm his status as one of the best sprinters of recent times by capping a memorable summer with victory in the Stanley Leisure Sprint Cup at Haydock today.
Oasis can complete treble dream

The John Gosden-trained colt has looked a cut above the current crop of speed merchants in winning the Darley July Cup and the Victor Chandler Nunthorpe Stakes.

He is on the verge of completing a famous sprint treble and joining Habibti (1983) and Ajdal (1987), who also won all three.

Last year’s Middle Park Stakes winner was late making his seasonal debut and although ring-rusty when third to Australian ace Choisir, he delighted connections.

He was spot on for the July Cup, in which he gained his revenge on Choisir in tremendous fashion.

Dropping back to the minimum trip from six furlongs was not a problem to Oasis Dream in the Nunthorpe at York, where he ran his rivals into the ground.

Oasis Dream is drawn five in a field of 10 and that looks ideal as Richard Hughes can pick a path to suit once he gets the likely odds-on favourite into a rhythm.
