Vanilla Man can land National

By Tom Higgins VANILLA MAN can overcome a rise in class to take the Elan Midlands National Handicap at Kilbeggan tonight.

The nine-year-old has won three of his last four races, the first over hurdles at the Punchestown Festival, and his last two by wide margins over the bigger obstacles.

He was successful over tonight's course in a Beginners Chase over two and a half miles in May, winning by no less than twenty five lengths from Albatros.
