Classy Yeats can pass his stiffest test to date

ANYTHING less than a decisive success for Epsom Derby favourite Yeats in the Derrinstown Stud Trial at Leopardstown tomorrow will be a major surprise.

Aidan O’Brien’s imposing son of Sadler’s Wells faces his stiffest test to date, but has to come through with flying colours if classic pretensions are to prove in any way realistic.

He won a moderate maiden in smooth style at the Curragh, on his only outing as a two-year-old, and made a more than satisfactory reappearance at Leopardstown last month.
