MICHAEL A. Walsh, acting on behalf of a local syndicate, paid the top price of €9,500 for Ross Kewell at the Curraheen Park sales on Saturday.

The blue puppy had recorded the fastest time in the pre-sales trials when carding 28.84 and, after some keen bidding, Walsh had the last say.

Walsh also paid the second top price when securing Effernogue Matey a, 28.96 trial winner for €3,000.

In all 18 lots made €1,000 or more.
