TONY McCOY wowed the packed Towcester crowds with a short-priced treble as the racecourse opened its doors for the first time in 18 months yesterday.

It was just another day in the office for the champion jockey, as he booted home favourites Summer Bounty, Bearaway and Niagara.

But for Towcester it was an altogether bigger occasion as a crowd of more than 4,000 racegoers took advantage of the free admission to pack the marquee which is doubling as a temporary grandstand until a new £5million main stand is built.
