MICHAEL HOURIGAN yesterday reported that he is going to England on Wednesday in an attempt to set up a satellite yard, writes Pat Keane.

His simple plan is to try and get more opportunities for his horses. The Limerick handler lashed out at the balloting system, which is currently the big talking point in Irish racing, believing he has no choice.

“This balloting is ridiculous”, said Hourigan. “Owners just won't put up with it and I have them snapping at my heels on a regular basis.
