Gold favourite for Ripon glory

Willie Muir’s sprinter already landed some bookie’s cash with his fine victory in the coral.co.uk Handicap at Haydock Park last Saturday.

Sprint king David Nicholls has three entries in the £50,000 six-furlong handicap, including the 8-1 second favourite Ice Planet. His other possible runners are Native Title and Pieter Brueghel.

Ripon’s feature event has attracted a bumper entry of 38 sprinters and other potential contenders include the last two winners, Hidden Dragon and Smokin Beau.
