THE fast ground has really taken its toll on Listowel today and you would have to say this is a very disappointing programme.

John Oxx’s Cristalita is a hopeful nap choice to provide the answer to the Mitsubishi Maiden.

She has only run twice, performing poorly first time at Leopardstown and stepping up substantially subsequently at Fairyhouse.

At Fairyhouse the selection was one of three runners for her stable. She made most of the running, until fading in the straight to finish third behind the Oxx market leader, Kassna.

There are two major dangers in Striking Pose and Legion Of Honour. Striking Pose is a consistent sort, who again ran solidly when second to Mr Wong at Tipperary.

It took a long time for the penny to drop with Legion Of Honour when finishing fifth to Twilight Breeze at Fairyhouse last week. That was his first run and he can only improve.

Richie Rich gets the nod to land the six furlongs Mermaids Handicap.

He ran well here on Monday when beaten three parts of a length by Polish Legion.

Namibia, who ran nicely when third to Golly Gosh at Fairyhouse, may supply the answer to the Harp Lager Handicap.

Michael Hourigan’s Cool Dante looks the best of a bad lot in the John J Galvin Maiden Hurdle.

Successful in a Cork Bumper, he cut little ice on his latest appearance when seventh in the handicap hurdle won by Zamnah at Killarney, but that still seems to give him the edge!
