Fast Fit poised to be head Honcho

FAST FIT HONCHO has plenty going for him in the AIB Stakes final, the feature at Curraheen Park tonight.

The selection has recorded back-to-back 29.18 and 29.07 trap to line wins and is ideally sited on the rails. He can scoop the €9,500 winner’s prize.

Rathanny Maid rates the main danger.

Liam Dowling’s four-times winner got off the mark in the stake last week, making all in 29.17.

Rathanny Maid, who runs from two, should again play a leading role, but may struggle to get around Fast Fit Honcho at the opening corner.

The Willie Cummins Memorial Stake also swings into action tonight and Glenard Prince can get backers off to a flier in heat one.

Timmy O’Donovan’s runner posted 29.19 and 29.36 efforts at Thurles before finishing third from a middle draw at the same venue last month.

Likely to benefit from a switch to the inside, Glenard Prince can bounce back at expense of Ballyhoe Admiral, a 29.19 scorer at Thurles, but done no favours by a five draw.
