International team selection transferred to SJAI

THE Equestrian Federation of Ireland (EFI) yesterday transferred international team selection back to the Show Jumping Association of Ireland (SJAI).

The move came as the EFI ratified an SJAI decision to offer Eddie Macken the post of chef d’equipe/trainer to the senior team.

The transfer came in the wake of an agreement on a revised selection panel, which will now be made up of: the SJAI International Affairs Committee chairman, four representatives from each of the SJAI national regions, one representative from the Show Jumpers’ Club and the senior chef d’equipe/trainer.
