Ardkill Way the highlight of Murphy hat-trick
Ardkill Way remained unbeaten, albeit from only two starts, when taking the second semi-final in a fastest of the night 28.79.
The 4/6 chance was fast away from his inside berth and, having led into the bend, came right away in the closing stages for an eight and a half length success over Movealong Alfie.
Kennelmate Dickmac Kiowa also made it two from two when taking the first semi-final in 29.17.
He too led at the opening bend and was always holding the running on Lemon Chief in the closing stages for a length and a half success.
Murphy's hat-trick was initiated by Bettyville Break in the third race.
Ace Dave led until running wide at the last bend allowing the winner to surge into the lead and eventually beat Hello Yank by three and a half lengths in 29.16.
High Calypso upset the favourite Legend Erry in the final of The Red Mills A2 Stake. The winner led up and made the rest to score by four lengths from the jolly, hampered at the opening bend, by four lengths in 28.95.
The Atkins Consultants A4 Stakes final developed into a thriller with Go Lib Joe edging out Norwood Scholes by a short head in 29.51 with Danielles Lemon only a neck back in third.
The Paul Hennessy trained Tyrur Lee, who had made short work of his rivals in the Kieran Dineen Memorial 550 at the track a week previously, completed a four-timer in heat one of the Droopys Stud A1 Backgraders Stakes. Deejay Ninetysix led early on but Tyrur Lee had taken control by halfway and in the end beat Fir Tree Jack a length and a half 29.98.
