Sponsors quit Gold Cup

Heineken Ireland has concluded its long-running sponsorship of the Heineken Gold Cup at Punchestown, the main event of the National Hunt Festival.

Heineken has sponsored the event since 1993, seeing the Heineken Gold Cup go from strength to strength to become the highlight of the Irish National Hunt season. Winners in recent years include Gold Cup winner, Imperial Call, Florida Pearl and Beef or Salmon.
