Higgins can get off mark

THE consistent, but frustrating, Andy Higgins can get off the mark over fences in the Hacketts' Bookmakers Beginners Chase at Kilbeggan this evening.

Second four times in-a-row, Edward O'Grady's charge ran his best race to date at the Galway Festival last time.

He was beaten a length and a half by Dix Villez, in a contest which has been working out quite nicely.
