SANSERIF, best favoured at the weights and partnered by Epsom Derby hero Johnny Murtagh, is fancied to take the featured Group Three Ballycorus Stakes at Leopardstown tonight.

Michael Halford's filly is on the upgrade and comes here on the back of a career-best performance in the Irish 1000 Guineas at the Curragh.

Successful previously in an ordinary maiden at Gowran Park, the daughter of Fasliyev made a lot of the running before fading in the closing stages to finish about a length and a half sixth behind Saoire.

She may be even better suited to dropping down to seven furlongs and can prove too strong for Democratic Deficit, in good form in both the English and Irish 2000 Guineas, but with a 5lbs penalty to carry.

Dermot Weld's once-raced Summer Scent gets the nap in the opening Irish Stallion Farms' EBF Fillies Maiden.

Juveniles from this quarter often find lots of improvement for a first run and she certainly caught the eye when third to gambled-on Amigoni and Taqseem at Gowran Park. Amigoni is trained by Aidan O'Brien and he may provide the main worry with the Storm Cat newcomer, Oh How Lovely.

O'Brien runs the Sadler's Wells colt Nobel Prize, beaten a whopping 36 lengths behind Swiss Cottage at Naas last month, in the Clonard Maiden.

Just like stable companion Hippodrome at Naas on Monday, it would be no surprise to see this fellow find huge improvement.

That remains to be seen, however, and I prefer to rely on John Oxx's Virginia Woolf, who ran a cracker at Roscommon when two lengths second to Menwaal.

If Con Collins' Chelsea Rose strips fit and fancied then she will take all the beating in the Listed Jockey Club Of Turkey Silver Stakes.

She rounded off her two-year-old days by beating Pictavia and Saoire in the Group One Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh.

That form speaks for itself, with Pictavia finishing third in Friday's Epsom Oaks and Saoire taking the Irish 1000 Guineas.
