Kinane still critical

CHRIS KINANE, assistant trainer to Ian Williams, remains in a critical condition after receiving a kick to the head in the parade ring at Wolverhampton on Saturday night.

Kinane was about to give jockey Jamie Spencer a leg-up when another horse lashed out and caught him on the head.

The 48-year-old was knocked unconscious and underwent an operation. He is now being looked after in the hospital’s neuro-critical care unit.
