Report to shed light on Tynan sacking

FURTHER details of the controversial sacking of Bord na gCon chief executive Aidan Tynan are expected this week when Sports Minister John O’Donoghue receives an urgent report on the matter.

Mr Tynan was sacked from the board shortly after it decided to go against his advice and not make public two failed drug tests on dogs trained by prominent industry trainers Paul Hennessy and John Kiely.

A leading trainer, Mr Hennessey has also handled greyhound Lotto Princess which is owned by a group of 19 TDs and senators including Mr O’Donoghue.
