Bad day for Blarney favourites
In the featured Jack Ryan Memorial Cup long odds favourite Kierans Glory went out in the opening round to Farmers Phantom, when he went unsighted, while other fancy ones to fall included Micks Twist, Chetwyn Harbour and Abbeyglen Cosmo.
We are now down to he last eight and the destination of the prize looks very much in the balance but Farmers Phantom, who created two big surprises yesterday, may be the one to beat.
Sober Scout is going well in the Derby Trial Stake while nothing went better in the Oaks Trial Stake yesterday than Dromore Snowy and she looks sure to have a big say in the final outcome.
Coursing will again commence this morning at 11.30.
