LAWYERS for the Turf Club applied to the High Court yesterday to lift a stay on the suspension of racehorse Davids Lad which enables him to run at Cheltenham tomorrow and in the Aintree Grand National next month.

The hearing is to continue today and an early decision is expected.

The stay was granted to the owners of the horse on an ex-parte application (at which the other side was not represented) by the High Court on Thursday last. The horse had been suspended from running for 42 days following its participation in a race at Naas on February 23 last.
