Rebel heads Cesarewitch entries

DUAL Ascot Gold Cup winner Royal Rebel heads the entries for the totesport Cesarewitch at Newmarket on October 16.

The eight-year-old is one of eight possibles in the Newmarket event for Mark Johnston, having returned this season from nearly two years off the racecourse, finishing fourth in the Royal Ascot showpiece this time around.

The Middleham trainer has also entered Double Obsession, Always Waining and Pushkin, who was beaten only a head in the Prix du Cadran at Longchamp two years ago when trained by Elie Lellouche.
