Lame Ned Kelly out for season

NED KELLY, 16/1 fifth favourite with Ladbrokes for the Champion Hurdle, is lame and will miss the rest of the National Hunt season.

He has left Eddie O’Grady’s stable and returned to owner John Magnier’s Coolmore Stud to recuperate.

Ned Kelly had ended last season under a cloud following his odds-on third to Davenport Milenium at Punchestown but ran with a degree of promise when third behind Limestone Lad on his seasonal debut in the Hatton’s Grace Hurdle at Fairyhouse recently.
