Speaking at Clonmel yesterday his trainer, Mouse Morris, said: “The plan is to go to Punchestown for the Kerrygold Chase, as long as the ground is safe.”

The son of Presenting produced a tremendous display of jumping and staying power, under Conor O’Dwyer, at Prestbury Park to beat compatriots Hedgehunter and Forget The Past.

He is only a seven-year-old and there was a school of thought which believed he would now be put away for the rest of the campaign.

“He came out of Cheltenham in unbelievable order”, reported Morris.

“You have to remember that to me that was the Gold Cup, but to him it was only a horse race.”
