Murtagh not returning to Ireland

JOHNNY MURTAGH yesterday reiterated his commitment to riding in Britain after his split with David Loder last week.

He joined the Newmarket trainer at the start of the year after relinquishing his job with John Oxx last November, but he said he has no intention of returning to Ireland.

“I’m riding lots of horses here so there was no temptation at all to go back to Ireland. My mind was made up to give England a go and that’s what I intend to do,” said Murtagh.
