Bowe, whose father James bred, owns and trains the 10-year-old, does all the work at home with the star performer over jumps.

Limestone Lad is reported to be “in the form of his life” by Bowe jnr and will revert to two miles looking for his 36th career win. “It looks like he will be running in the AIG Europe hurdle, provided he works well on Tuesday.

“He’s on the boil and I would like to give him a crack at the race,” said Bowe.

Limestone Lad is Coral’s current 3-1 joint favourite with Baracouda for the Bonusprint Stayers Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.
