THREE VALLEYS is set to be disqualified from winning the Shadwell Stud Middle Park Stakes at a hearing of the Jockey Club’s disciplinary panel on Thursday.

The leading two-year-old tested positive for the banned substance clenbuterol after beating Balmont by three-quarters of a length in the Group One contest at Newmarket in October.

A second sample sent for counter-analysis confirmed the presence of the drug, administered to treat mucus in the Roger Charlton-trained colt’s lungs.
