Stay with Kassna

APPRENTICE events are hardly the best races for finding safe betting propositions, but the Derrinstown Stud Series Maiden at Fairyhouse tonight houses a decent wager in the shape of John Oxx’s Kassna.

Following Oxx’s inmates of late has been a lucrative policy and this once-raced daughter of Ashkalani holds a live chance. The Curragh handler has exercised plenty of patience with the three-year-old and she hasn’t been seen since making her debut at Leopardstown at the end of May.

Kassna made an excellent start that day, staying on strongly in the closing stages to finish a length and a length and a half third behind Marie Pavie and Samer.
