War of Attrition on course for Punchestown

WAR OF ATTRITION is yet another big name to be added to the Punchestown Festival at the end of the month.

Mouse Morris’ charge proved a huge disappointment at the recent Cheltenham Festival, trailing in a well beaten seventh behind Contraband in the Arkle Trophy, after going off favourite.

Speaking at Clonmel yesterday, Morris said: “The horse is fine. He was fit at Cheltenham, but just wasn’t battle-fit, he wasn’t battled-hardened enough.
