RULE SUPREME finished a creditable third in the Prix la Barka at Auteuil yesterday.

The Willie Mullins-trained nine-year-old occupied the same placing in the Group Two contest 12 months ago before going on to glory in the French Champion Hurdle.

The race saw a shock win for Rock And Palm, who edged out hot favourite Cyrlight close home.
