WITCHES TRIGGS (Larkhilll Jo- Witches Hope) gave a brilliant display of early pace when clocking 16.20 to come within a length of the track record in an open 300 yard sprint at Limerick last night.

The Denis Duggan trained and Tom Brett owned early pacer was an unlucky semi-final casualty in the Hospitality Sprint in Cork, but was gone like a shot from trap five and had four lengths to spare over the track record holder, Silkey Joe.

Meanwhile, Wagga Lord, fastest of the heat winners, and Essexboy Charles can capture the semi-finals of the Dave Barry Memorial 29.70 Stake at Youghal tonight.
