The Carrick-on-Suir rider made sure Ireland did not leave the French fixture without having a say, following a disappointing performance in the Samsung Super League opener on Friday when the team placed equal sixth.

Babington was the only Irish rider to redeem himself in the cup, posting a clear following an eight-fault first round.
