Blanchfield on the upgrade

FRANCIS Flood’s Blanchfield is fancied to take the first division of the Clonoulty Mares Bumper at Thurles this afternoon.

The daughter of Luso is on the upgrade and won’t have to improve much on her most recent outing at Navan to go close in this class.

She finished three lengths second behind Tom Taaffe’s Tex Morgan then, sticking well to her task all the way up the straight.
