Heffernan on Brian Boru as Kinane heads for France

Aidan O’Brien has finalised all his plans for the weekend and he outlined them at Tipperary last night. Seamus Heffernan partners Brian Boru against current Epsom Derby joint favourite, Alamshar, in an eagerly awaited clash.

The Great Gatsby will join Brian Boru in the Derrinstown line-up and he will be ridden by Pat Cosgrave.

Kinane will ride France in the French 2000 Guineas at Longchamp. O’Brien will have two other runners in the race, Catcher In The Rye (Kieran Fallon) and Dalcassian (Tom Queally).

The Irish champion jockey will again team up with Alberto Giacometti, disappointing on his seasonal debut at Leopadstown in the Ballysax Stakes, in Longchamp’s Prix Lupin.

Balestrini will also contest the Lupin with Fallon aboard.
