Poppy can make it Gray day for rivals
Three of the contenders - Toms Mixture, Moving Customer and Tut Tut - all won their second round heats in good times while Related Object and Grayslands Poppy got into trouble in running, after winning their opening heats in fast times.
The break will be crucial and a chance is taken with the normally fast starting Grayslands Poppy to atone for her second round slip-up.
Blue Boomer can take the opening semi-final. He bounced back to his best when winning his second round heat in 38.72 and, with the advantage of an inside berth, can see off Hello Bud.
