Bandon and C of I B will contest the Peard Cup final on St Stephen’s Day after winning their respective semi-finals on Saturday.

Bandon edged a thrilling contest 4–3 after a fast start saw them race into a two-goal lead through Ethan Hamilton’s early strikes.

Quins battled back, with Julian Dale converting from a corner and later scoring a solo effort before Bandon added a third through Ali Smith.

Dale completed his hat-trick in the third quarter to level the match at 3–3 heading into a tense finale. With six minutes remaining, right back Ben McInerney ghosted into the D to secure victory as Bandon held firm against late Quins pressure.

C of B had a more straightforward win in their semi-final overcoming Midleton 3-0.

Bandon lifted themselves off the foot of the table with a 2-1 win over Waterford.

In the Cork city derby Ashton won 2-0 courtesy of goals from Karen McCarthy and Kate Harvey.
