Cork Church of Ireland look to reset against Three Rock

After a bruising 10–1 defeat at the hands of Lisnagarvey last weekend, Cork Church of Ireland’s men face a stern test today as they travel to Dublin to take on Three Rock Rovers.
With the season still in its early stages, signs are emerging of a split in the EYHL Division 1 table, with the bottom three sides already appearing locked in a battle for survival.
At the opposite end, Pembroke Wanderers have surprised many by setting the early pace.
Their credentials will be tested this weekend in a top table with Lisnagarvey, while Banbridge—still boasting a perfect record—travel to face Corinthians.
In the women’s top tier, Catholic Institute’s status in the EYHL Division 1 looks increasingly precarious.
The Limerick side have managed just two points from their opening six matches and have struggled to find attacking rhythm in the absence of Irish international Naomi Carroll. They face a challenging away fixture against mid-table University College Dublin.
At the summit, Loreto will look to maintain their unbeaten run as they host Dublin rivals Pembroke Wanderers. Meanwhile, Railway Union welcome Queens University Belfast in a first-versus-third showdown that could have significant implications each side title ambitions.
In Munster’s Men’s Division 1, Cork Harlequins are still searching for form, having played fewer matches due to structural changes in the league.
They travel to Waterford, who are also looking to register their first win of the campaign.
The Women’s Munster Division 1 sees a cross-city clash between Cork Church of Ireland and Ashton at Garryduff. With both sides undergoing transition, the fixture will serve as a useful barometer for their top-half ambitions. Elsewhere, early leaders University College Cork travel to second-placed Crescent in a battle of the unbeaten. Harlequins are expected to be favourites against Catholic Institute B, while Waterford host Bandon.
