Austin O'Connor has given himself a fighting chance of ending Irish eventing's 62-year wait for a winner at the Defender Burghley Horse Trials.

O'Connor and Colorado Blue produced a blistering cross-country display to move into second place ahead of Sunday's showjumping finale.
