Gemma McCann won the battle of the GAA captains when she beat Juliet Muprhy in the last shot of the All-Ireland intermediate women’s final at Castletownkenneigh on Sunday.

The Armagh camogie captain led from start to finish. She had what looked a comfortable lead heading into the last quarter. Three sensational bowls in succession from Murphy - Cork’s famous former ladies football captain - brought it to a last shot.
