The Irish crew of Kilrea’s Josh McErlean and Killeagh’s Eoin Treacy successfully negotiated the opening pair of stages of Safari Rally Kenya with their Ford Puma Rally1 finishing in sixth place as they continue their WRC journey with the M-Sport Ford World Rally Team.
Overnight, Estonian Ott Tanak (Hyundai i20 Rally1) leads the Toyota GR Yaris of Japan’s Takamoto Katsuta and his Tyrone co-driver Aaron Johnson by 2.4s with Luxemburg’s Gregoire Munster (Ford Puma Rally1) a mere two-tenths of a second further behind in third.
