UCC Demons and Killester show class as they book final spots

After losing at this stage last year Liffey Celtics were determined to get back to the Cup Final and showed that drive from the first minute as Aine O’Connor and Sorcha Tiernan gave them an early lead that they would never give up.

Killester show class in 93-74 win over Eanna

The first half of Eanna and Killester was brilliant, as the two rivals threw haymaker after haymaker at each other in an end-to-end game. Despite how well Eanna were playing, I worried for them that the scoring rate was too high and they’d struggle more so than Killester to keep it up. That proved the case as Killester’s excellent defense limited Eanna to contested post ups and tough shots throughout the second half. Killester play probably the fastest controlled pace that we’ve seen since Demon’s all conquering undefeated team ten years ago.
