The National League Committee (NLC) which governs the National Basketball League and National Cup have sanctioned Maree on a charge of attempting to register players using falsified documents.

The NLC has given Maree a 24-point penalty for the 2024/25 Men's Super League season and the club will not be allowed to compete in the Pat Duffy National Cup this season.
