Hurley’s of Midleton King of the Roads has never been so open. Five of the semi-finalists have very strong claims, the sixth, Germany’s Stefan Runge, cannot be discounted either.

Saturday’s first semi-final has defending champion Thomas Mackle, Munster champion Martin Coppinger and current European champion, William Hobbelink, from the Netherlands.
