Elizabeth Ndudi misses out on medal at World U20 long jump final
Elizabeth Ndudi of Dundrum South Dublin AC
To finish sixth in the world, Elizabeth Ndudi had to jump through the pain. And while that result wasn’t one that left the 19-year-old Dubliner jumping for joy, she could reflect with justifiable pride on her performance.
Ndudi, the reigning European U-20 champion, came up just 16cm shy of a medal in the World U20 long jump final in Lima, Peru last night, her best of 6.18m on the night well down on the Irish record of 6.68m she’d jumped in April.
