Galway's Aoife Raftery has been chosen as one of fifteen drivers worldwide to participate in the World Rally Championship's Beyond Rally Women’s Driver Development initiative.

In what was a direct application process from competitor to the WRC Promoter, the programme, launched earlier this summer, is aimed at increasing female participation in the sport at the highest level.
