Chris O’Donnell made a quick turnaround to impress in the heats of the men’s 400m, the Sligo athlete clocking a season’s best of 45.69 to finish fourth and advance to the semi-finals tomorrow evening despite clashing with an athlete in the lane beside him in the last 50 metres.

Sarah Lavin will go in search of her second major championship final of the year when she lines up for the semi-final of the 100m hurdles at 7:12pm Irish time this evening. She got a bye to the semi-final as one of the top-12 ranked athletes and is sure to have eyes set on the evening’s medal decider (9:08pm).
