Organisers of last week’s Assess Ireland International Rally of the Lakes have apologised to all the competitors for what they describe as the “inconsistent application of the Parc Ferme rule by the appointed stewards.”

It is claimed that the competitors, who were thanked by the Killarney and District Motor Club for participating in what was the fourth round of the Irish Tarmac Rally Championship, were held for an extended period of time in final Parc Ferme. The Killarney club stated that the detention caused an inconvenience to the crews, their teams and families.
