Leading throughout, Henry was 4s up on Devine on the opening 6.84 mile Lisbunny stage with Greer 3.7s further behind.

Derry’s Desi Henry (Citroen C3 Rally2) took a 14.8s victory over fellow Derry driver Callum Devine (VW Polo GTi R5) to claim his third win in the Claudy-based Eakin Brothers Maiden City Rally. 

However, the Kilrea driver had a few anxious moments when his Citroen misfired before clearing itself as he took the laurels with a third different co-driver, this time with Donegal’s Shane Byrne calling the pace notes.
