Rhasidat Adeleke produced one of the best performances of her career at the Texas Invitational in Austin on Saturday, clocking a wind-assisted 10.84 for 100m and beating two world champions.

Adeleke lined up alongside training partners Julien Alfred, the reigning world indoor 60m champion, and Dina Asher-Smith, the 2019 world 200m champion. After a flying start, she left them trailing, her time of 10.84 by far the fastest in history by an Irishwoman but one which won’t count as a record due to the tailwind of 3.5m per second, well over the allowable limit of 2.0.
