As expected, the Monaghan Rally was a battle between the local Moffett brothers that through the opening six stages they were virtually inseparable with never more than two seconds between them as Josh held a 1.1s advantage over his older brother Sam - both having won their home event on three previous occasions.

On the final loop of three stages Josh and his co-driver Keith Moriarty (Citroen C3 Rally2) powered to an 11s victory over the Hyundai i20 Rally2 of Sam, who was co-driven by James O’Reilly.
