The Portlaoise Panthers basketball club have released an official statement to confirm that they will not play the remaining 0.3 seconds of their quarter-final against the Limerick Sport Eagles.

Eagles won the original fixture in Portlaoise, 80-78, after former Irish international captain Jason Killeen sank a pair of free throws upon being adjudged to have been fouled in the act of shooting as the buzzer sounded.
