Thomas Mackle will defend the first of his four major titles when he faces Aidan Murphy in the Joe McVeigh Cup final at Ból-Fada on the Markethill Road in Keady on Sunday.

Mackle will want to keep the full set of Ulster, All-Ireland, King of the Roads and Joe McVeigh titles from 2023 and complete the royal flush by adding the European gold medal in May. Murphy has rediscovered his mojo in the past few months though and will be just as motivated to have the first classic of 2024 in his war chest when he gets on the plane to Germany.
